Near East University and Manisa Celal Bayar University have renewed their long-standing academic and scientific partnership with a new protocol. The collaboration agreement was signed at a special ceremony attended by Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar during the “Barrier-Free Informatics Days” organized by the TRNC Barrier-Free Informatics Platform and Near East University Social Research and Development Center.

 

Accompanying Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar at the signing ceremony were Manisa Celal Bayar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin and Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Ay. Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ was joined by Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Prof. Dr. H. Seda Vatansever.

 

The new protocol aims to enhance the academic and cultural collaboration between the two institutions. It focuses on facilitating student and faculty exchange programs, organizing joint research projects, and hosting shared scientific events. In addition, the protocol emphasizes the development of joint educational programs to foster cultural interaction and social solidarity between the universities.

 

This renewed partnership reflects the commitment of both universities to advancing education and research while promoting cross-cultural understanding. By strengthening the ties between Turkey and the TRNC, the collaboration aims to create meaningful opportunities for academic and scientific innovation in the region.
