Near East University, Atatürk Faculty of Education’s Counseling and Psychological Guidance Department collaborated with Lefkoşa Turkish High School Counseling Service to deliver a seminar on “Peer Bullying” to 9th-grade students. The seminar included presentations and workshops, providing information about the definition of bullying, its types, and coping strategies.
Organized for 9th-grade students, the seminar on “Peer Bullying” was conducted by faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Sorakın. In her presentation and workshop sessions, Sorakın informed students about the definition of bullying, its various forms, and methods for coping with such behaviors.
The collaborative effort between Atatürk Faculty of Education and Lefkoşa Turkish High School aimed to raise awareness about peer bullying and equip students with effective strategies to address and prevent such incidents. By fostering an open dialogue on this important issue, the seminar provided valuable insights and tools for both students and educators.
