Prof. Dr. Murat Sayan, the Rector’s Advisor and a member of the DESAM Institute Board, moderated the two-conference event. Prof. Dellaloğlu discussed the historical transformation of universities, followed by discussions on contemporary issues in the scientific world.
The first conference covered topics such as “Artificial Intelligence and Data Usage Limits, Ethics, and Legal Status” by Yrd. Dr. Fatma Alaslan, “Mobbing in Higher Education” by Prof. Dudu Özkum Yavuz, “21st Century Skills and Leadership” by Şefik Emre Coşkun, “Limits and Requirements of Thesis Advising” by Prof. Dr. H. Seda Vatansever, and “Perspective on Good and Open Science Infrastructure” by Prof. Dr. Murat Sayan.
In the second conference, Prof. Dr. Murat Özgören, NERITA President at Near East University, presented “A Glimpse into the Future World.” After Q&A sessions, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, the Rector of Near East University, expressed gratitude to the participants and awarded them certificates.
Highlighting the universities’ responsibility in societal progress and producing professionals meeting societal needs, Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ emphasized the crucial mission of nurturing scientists for scientific continuity. He commended the Mentorship Program 2024 event for providing valuable insights and fostering awareness.
