
The first film screening of the Inclusive Cinema Festival, organized by the Faculty of Communication at Near East University in collaboration with Telsim, took place with great excitement at the university’s Accessible Cinema and Activity Center. The festival’s first guests, students from Algım Special Education Center, enjoyed watching the movie “Maya the Bee.”
The event was coordinated by Ufuk Altunç, a Lecturer in the Department of Public Relations and Promotion at Near East University. Attendees included the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Dolunay, Telsim General Manager Sefer Tüz, Telsim Deputy General Manager Fevzi Tanpınar, Head of the Public Relations and Promotion Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Kamil Kanipek, Founder and Director of Algım Special Education Institutions Evren Karademir, and Telsim Corporate Communications Manager Nil Zorlu Atai.
The “Inclusive Cinema Festival” aims to make a difference in the lives of individuals with special needs and support their active participation in social life. The festival will continue for one year, offering entertaining films for free. Special needs individuals can attend film screenings either through their schools or by appointment.
