Near East University and Shiraz Technology University Foster Academic Partnership for Sustainable Development

Near East University and Shiraz Technology University have inked a landmark academic cooperation protocol, solidifying their commitment to international collaboration. The agreement spans diverse initiatives, from information sharing to joint conferences, student and faculty exchanges, dual degree programs, and collaborative research. The protocol's commencement, marked by the visit of Shiraz University of Technology Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Alavianmehr to Near East University, signifies a substantial addition to the latter's global partnerships.

The initial phase emphasizes student and academic staff exchanges, with plans for an international conference on "Earthquake Control" hosted at Near East University. Shiraz University of Technology, a rapidly ascending institution in Iran, holds a noteworthy position in global university rankings.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Alavianmehr commended Near East University's projects, advanced laboratory infrastructure, and publication quality, expressing eagerness to rapidly implement the collaboration for mutual benefit.

Near East University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt underscored the resonance between their University 4.0 vision—aimed at transforming knowledge for societal benefit—and Shiraz University of Technology's objectives. The collaboration is anticipated to yield significant outcomes in advancing academic pursuits and joint projects.
