Near East University And The Presidential Symphony Orchestra Signed A Collaboration Protocol

Near East University, which extends its scientific activity worldwide with its international collaborations, continues to expand its collaborations in science, culture, and art domestically as well. Near East University renewed its long-standing collaboration protocol with the Supreme Election Council and also signed a protocol with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The protocol, signed with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, which started its artistic journey nine years ago by giving its first concert in the hall of the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center, formalized the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions. The protocol covers a wide range of activities from organizing concerts to educational activities.

The signing ceremony for the protocol, which came into effect with the signatures of Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and the Conductor of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ali Hoca, was attended by Mustafa Kofalı, the Coordinator of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as Prof. Dr. Yağmur Çerkez, Dean of the Faculty of Atatürk Education at Near East University, Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, Vice Dean and Advisor to the Rector of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Kıvanç Öztuğ, Head of the Music Education Department, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Sülün, Faculty Member of the Music Education Department and Deputy Head of the Department of Fine Arts Education.

The collaboration aims to reach a wider audience with the cultural and artistic events organized, and within this scope, Near East University will provide venue and promotional support for the events of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
