Near East University Expands Global Academic Collaborations with İnönü and Bingöl Universities, Advances Medical Research on Rare Metabolic Disorders in Children

Near East University continues to bolster its international collaboration network through agreements signed with esteemed Turkish higher education institutions, İnönü University and Bingöl University.

At a protocol ceremony attended by university rectors, Near East University and İnönü University inked an academic collaboration protocol, while the ongoing collaboration with Bingöl University was renewed. It was also announced that Near East University and Istanbul University, under their existing cooperation protocol, have reached the final stages of developing a medical diagnostic kit to identify the genetic causes of rare metabolic diseases observed in children.

During the visit of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kızılay, the Rector of İnönü University, and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çapak, the Rector of Bingöl University, to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), academic collaboration protocols aimed at strengthening higher education in Turkey and TRNC were signed with Near East University. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Osman Bülent Zülfikar, the Rector of Istanbul University, concurrently signed a collaboration protocol with Girne Üniversitesi, the sister university of Near East University.

The protocol ceremony, which brought together university rectors, saw the signing of an academic collaboration protocol between Near East University and İnönü University, along with the renewal of the protocol with Bingöl University. Significant strides continue to be made under the existing collaboration protocol between Near East University and Istanbul University.
