Near East University Faculty of Medicine Achieves Accreditation from WFME

The Near East University Faculty of Medicine has received accreditation from the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME), based in the United Kingdom.

By being accepted among the medical faculties accredited by the World Federation of Medical Education, the Near East University Faculty of Medicine has solidified its international recognition. The accreditation process with WFME was conducted by the Secretariat of the Council for Undergraduate Medical Education (SCUME).

Since April 2013, the Near East University Faculty of Medicine has been part of the World Health Organization’s AVICENNA group and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). This inclusion allows graduates to apply for medical education and specialization programs in the United States and Canada through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) list. Moreover, physicians who complete their education at the Near East University Faculty of Medicine have the opportunity to specialize not only at the Near East University Faculty of Medicine Hospital but also in renowned healthcare institutions across Europe.
