Prof. Dr. Salih Müjdat Balkan, the Chief Physician of Near East University Hospital, along with Marketing Communication Director Feyza Bundak and Patient Rights Officer Meltem Kavaz, visited SOS Children’s Village and the Cyprus Turkish Children’s Aid Foundation to deliver the gifts.
The initiative aimed not only to provide material support but also to make the children feel that they are not alone. Prof. Dr. Balkan emphasized that social responsibility projects, even with small contributions, can create significant happiness for the entire community. He thanked everyone who supported the project.
The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Balkan, first delivered gifts to SOS Children’s Village. Ahmet Akarsu, Director of SOS Children’s Village, provided information about the activities and projects at SOS Children’s Village in Northern Cyprus. Akarsu emphasized the vital importance of all support for integrating children into society and thanked Near East University for its sensitivity.
The team from Near East University Hospital also brought joy to the children at the Cyprus Turkish Children’s Aid Foundation, meeting their needs and delivering the collected gifts. Ali Birsen, Coordinator of the Cyprus Turkish Children’s Aid Foundation, expressed gratitude for the support from Near East University Hospital employees. He highlighted that beyond the material gifts, the conversations and tailored assistance conveyed the message that the children are not alone and instilled belief in their ability to fulfill their dreams.
