Near East University Hosts Successful 1st International Biotechnology Congress

The “1st International NEU DESAM Biotechnology Congress,” organized by the Near East University DESAM Research Institute, has concluded after four days of intense participation. The congress featured 112 researchers from around the world, including the USA, Germany, Austria, United Arab Emirates, China, Iran, TRNC, Kosovo, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey, who presented their studies in biotechnology.

Prominent figures, including the Rector of Prizren Ukshin Hoti University, Assoc. Mentor Alishani, and Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, also attended the event. Prof. Dr. Mandal, a former TUBITAK President and the current head of the Presidential Science, Technology, and Innovation Policies, delivered a keynote speech on the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in developing sustainable biotechnology solutions.

Throughout the congress, over 60 presentations were made across diverse fields, such as medicine, dentistry, health sciences, veterinary medicine, artificial intelligence, mathematics, and engineering. These studies will be published as articles, contributing to the global scientific community’s knowledge and fostering future joint projects.
