The university secured top positions across six categories, affirming its leadership in fields such as Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Engineering, Environment and Ecology, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science within Northern Cyprus.

The rankings, compiled by US News & World Report, assessed 2,271 universities globally, positioning The Near East University at 689th worldwide, 194th in Asia, and 260th in Europe. Its prominence in specific disciplines includes 308th in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 349th in Engineering, 384th in Environment and Ecology, 529th in Physics, 550th in Chemistry, and 631st in Computer Science globally.

The methodology, based on predefined criteria by US News & World Report without soliciting submissions, underscores the university’s comprehensive achievement across various academic domains. This recognition further solidifies The Near East University’s standing as a distinguished institution both regionally and internationally, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
