Near East University Faculty of Architecture organized an event titled “Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Architecture and Urban Development,” focusing on contemporary approaches to cultural heritage and sustainability. The event was attended by Onur Olguner, President of the Chamber of Architects under the Union of Turkish Cypriot Engineers and Architects (KTMMOB), along with a large number of architecture and interior architecture students.
Opening speeches were delivered by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt and Onur Olguner. Discussions addressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage, green infrastructure within the framework of cultural sustainability, and public space use and universal design from architectural and urban studies perspectives.
