
Prof. Dr. Murat Özgören, from the Faculty of Medicine at Near East University, has been elected as the President of the Asian Sleep Research Society (ASRS) during the 11th Congress of the ASRS held in New Delhi, India.
The congress, which gathered leading scientists and researchers in the field of sleep medicine from countries including Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, South Korea, India, Japan, Northern Cyprus, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Turkey, aimed to share the latest advancements in sleep research.
Representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Prof. Dr. Murat Özgören, Prof. Dr. Adile Öniz Özgören, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gonca İnanç from Near East University actively participated in the congress and the 8th Asian Forum on Chronobiology.
Prof. Dr. Özgören’s election to the presidency is a significant achievement for both his personal career and the representation of Northern Cyprus in the global scientific community.
