Seminar on the International Dimension of Food Safety Management

The Irfan Günsel Research Center of Near East University held a seminar titled “International Dimension of Food Safety Management”, focusing on global standards and practices in food safety from farm to table. The seminar brought together academics and students to discuss current developments and challenges in ensuring food quality and safety across international contexts.

Prof. Dr. Beyza Hatice Ulusoy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Board Member of the Center, emphasized the need for global cooperation and knowledge-sharing to ensure sustainable and safe food production. She also compared food safety policies implemented in different countries.

At the opening, Prof. Dr. Özge Özden, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and President of the Irfan Günsel Research Center, highlighted the center’s mission to protect and transfer Cyprus’s agricultural heritage through scientific research.

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session, encouraging further dialogue on food safety issues.
