Social Integration Training for Migrant Communities and Refugees

Academics from Near East University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences organized a social integration training for migrant communities and refugees on 22 December 2025 at the Nicosia Turkish Municipality Solidarity and Education Center. Conducted within the scope of community outreach activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the training aimed to support migrants’ and refugees’ social and economic inclusion. The program covered practical topics such as CV preparation, access to employment opportunities, fundamental human rights, and navigating public services. Delivered in an interactive format, the sessions encouraged participants to share their personal experiences, challenges, and expectations, fostering dialogue and mutual learning. Discussions focused on barriers to social participation, access to equal opportunities, and ways to strengthen social cohesion.

Following the training, the importance of migrants’ and refugees’ contributions to society was emphasized, alongside the need for inclusive policies and stronger public–university collaboration to promote sustainable and equitable social integration.
