Students Donate Educational Materials to Çatalköy Primary School

Near East University students from the Departments of Elementary Mathematics Education and Primary Education carried out a meaningful social responsibility project by donating educational materials they developed to Çatalköy Primary School. Aimed at enhancing creativity and interaction in education, the materials were designed to make math and science lessons more engaging and enjoyable for young learners.

The project, titled “Science Pirate Poster Project,” features colorful and interactive posters that help children visualize scientific concepts and learn through hands-on experiences. First exhibited at Çatalköy Primary School, the materials were later officially donated by the university students.

Prof. Dr. Murat Tezer emphasized the role of STEM practices in modern education during the opening of the event, stating that projects like this contribute significantly to the professional development of future teachers. The school’s principal, Uğur Çınar, also expressed gratitude, highlighting the positive impact the materials had on student engagement and learning outcomes.
