Near East University Sustainability Awards

We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Near East University Sustainability Awards, a momentous occasion where we come together to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of our academic community towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As we firmly believe in the transformative power of education and research, this event aims to commend individuals and groups who have demonstrated exemplary commitment, collaboration, and innovation in advancing sustainability.
About the Awards: The Near East University Sustainability Awards will be an annual event starting from spring 2024, focusing on the accomplishments and initiatives undertaken during the preceding year, with 2023 being the first year of evaluation.
Objectives:
- Recognize and honor achievements aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Encourage and inspire sustainable practices within our academic community.
- Foster strong collaborations and partnerships for impactful contributions.
Evaluation Criteria: The sustainability awards will consider both academic and collaborative efforts in promoting sustainability. The criteria include, but are not limited to:
- Scientific publications addressing SDGs.
- Strong collaborations and partnerships for sustainable projects.
- Innovative approaches to advancing sustainability within and beyond the university.
Submission Process: Detailed guidelines and submission procedures will be provided to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process. Individuals and groups are encouraged to submit their contributions for consideration.
