In 2024, Near East University significantly strengthened its contribution to local arts and cultural heritage by organizing 45 public performances and cultural events. These activities reflected the university’s commitment to supporting artistic expression, preserving cultural identity, and expanding community access to the arts. The annual programme included a rich variety of artistic and heritage-focused events, such as: theatre performances by university and community groups, dance shows and stage productions, concerts and musical recitals, documentary screenings, poetry and literature gatherings, museum exhibition openings and cultural heritage presentations. Several activities highlighted traditional Cypriot crafts, music, and culinary culture, offering a platform for the preservation and celebration of the island’s cultural legacy. Through this diverse programme of public performances and heritage events, Near East University continued to play an active role in enriching the cultural life of the community and supporting the wider arts ecosystem.
