The “1st National Sexuality and Sexual Health Symposium” was held at the Near East University Irfan Günsel Congress Center, organized by the Dean of Students Sexual Health Service Unit. This significant event focused on sexual health education for preschool and youth, featuring two sessions and a panel discussion.

Experts in the field gathered to discuss essential topics, including family guidance on sexuality and school-based sexual abuse prevention programs. Presentations highlighted various aspects of sexual education, such as “Sexuality and Sexual Health in the Preschool Period,” “Sexual Education in the Family,” and “Examples of Comprehensive Sexual Education in Schools.”

The panel discussion on the “HPV Vaccine,” chaired by Prof. Dr. Müfit Cemal Yenen, examined the vaccine’s effectiveness and future strategies. The symposium, chaired by Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Sarpkaya Güder, concluded with certificates of appreciation awarded to participants, emphasizing the importance of enhancing sexual health awareness in the community.
