
The 40th ANKEM Congress, hosted by Near East University in collaboration with the Antibiotic and Chemotherapy (ANKEM) Association, concluded after a four-day intensive scientific program. Held at the Atatürk Culture and Congress Center, the congress gathered healthcare professionals and academics to discuss rational antibiotic use, vaccination, infection control, and AI-supported health practices.
With the slogan “Vaccinate for health, use antibiotics rationally”, the congress featured interactive panels, conferences, and poster sessions. Key topics included epidemic management, antimicrobial resistance, pediatric and adult vaccination, and the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare diagnostics.

Sessions such as “Epidemics and Art”, “Artificial Intelligence and Mathematical Modeling”, and “Current Threats in Intensive Care” enriched the program. Foodborne infections, sepsis in newborns, and antiprotozoal resistance were also addressed.
The congress ended with general evaluations, with all presented studies set to be published for the scientific community.
