Faculty members and students from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration and the Department of International Relations at Near East University visited the Refugee Rights Association (RHA) in Nicosia on December 25, 2024.
The delegation included Prof. Dr. Nur Köprülü, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sait Akşit, Head of the Department of International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çıraklı, Director of Near East Institute, Dr. Zehra Azizbeyli, faculty member of the Department of International Relations, and Research Assistant Abdullah Alkatheri. They emphasized the importance of participating in social responsibility projects and their potential to contribute to society. They also acknowledged the significant role the Refugee Rights Association plays in addressing refugee rights and humanitarian issues in the region.
During the visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with the management of the Refugee Rights Association, exploring possible areas for collaboration and joint projects. Ideas were shared on how both institutions could work together to support refugees and raise awareness about refugee rights.
