Near East University Hosts SEPIP 2024 Conference on Industrial Policy and Technology

The Smart Economic Planning and Industrial Policy (SEPIP) Conference, organized by OSTİM Technical University, was hosted by Near East University on October 15-16, 2024. Bringing together international policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders, the conference focused on “Industrial Policy Under a Changing Technological Environment.”

 

 

 

With five panels and 33 paper presentations, the event highlighted essential themes such as digitalization, the green economy, and global economic resilience. Keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, Rector of OSTİM Technical University, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Rector of Near East University, provided insights into topics like Turkey’s export potential, Moldova’s industrial policies, and Africa’s sustainable development.

 

SEPIP 2024 also featured collaborative research contributing to global sustainability goals, examining AI’s role in industry and exploring sustainable practices across agriculture, tourism, and defense sectors. This partnership aimed to address the complex challenges facing industrial policy and sustainable economic growth worldwide.
