
The “Basic First Aid Workshop” was jointly organized by the Faculties of Nursing and Tourism at Near East University to enhance first aid skills among future tourism professionals. Held at the İrfan Günsel Congress Center, the event gathered health experts and academics to deliver both theoretical and practical training.

Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz, and Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Nesrin M. Bahçelerli, emphasized the importance of equipping tourism sector workers with life-saving knowledge. Presentations included topics such as injury intervention, patient assessment at the scene, and emergency responses to traumas, bleeding, animal bites, and burns. The workshop aims to raise awareness and preparedness for health emergencies in a sector that serves thousands of visitors annually in Northern Cyprus.
