Continuing to strengthen its pioneering vision in technology and artificial intelligence, Near East University hosted the “Artificial Intelligence Policy Development Workshop” to lead discussions on AI policy-making and strategic planning. Jointly organized by the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Science and the Digital Education and Informatics Unit (DEBIM), the workshop brought together prominent academics and experts from Türkiye and the Cyprus.
The event began with the presentation of Ai. Prof. DUX, an AI-powered academician developed and actively used in NEU’s educational ecosystem. Participants discussed approaches to developing policies and strategies in artificial intelligence, focusing on the importance of sustainable planning, technological innovation, and maximizing efficiency.
The workshop was organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Fadi Al-Turjman, Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Science, and Prof. Dr. Sezer Kanbul, Director of DEBIM, with contributions from Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay, Deputy Director of DEBIM, and Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay, Coordinator of Educational Technologies.
