Collaboration with SOS Children’s Village to Support Children’s Education


Near East University signed a collaboration protocol with the SOS Children’s Village Association to implement projects that will bring hope to children and strengthen social responsibility initiatives. Through this partnership, the university aims to contribute to children’s social development and equitable access to education. The agreement, signed by Prof. Dr. Umut Akçıl, Dean of the Atatürk Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay and Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay Gazi, Co-Chairs of the Social Research and Development Center, and Cemil Hafız, Fundraising and Public Relations Manager of the SOS Children’s Village Association, focuses on supporting children’s social-emotional development, learning skills, and community participation. Joint activities will include educational and artistic workshops, awareness seminars, individualized learning programs, and technology-assisted education initiatives.

The Social Research and Development Center will further contribute through research, seminars, and panels aimed at strengthening the association’s institutional capacity. All proceeds from the events will be donated to the SOS Children’s Village Association.
