Near East University hosted the symposium “The Miracle 1,000 Days,” organized by the Dean of Students Office, the Nutrition and Dietetics Student Club, and the Faculty of Health Sciences’ Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taygun Dayı, the event examined the first 1,000 days of life—covering fetal development, pregnancy, birth, lactation, and infancy—from medical, nutritional, and physiological perspectives.
Scholars from various universities presented research on topics such as fetal programming, maternal nutrition, and the role of physical activity in early growth. With strong participation from healthcare professionals and students, the symposium emphasized the importance of early-life interventions for lifelong health, highlighting evidence-based strategies to support healthy development during this critical period.
