Near East University organized a comprehensive ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System and HACCP Certificate Program for professionals from the TRNC food sector as well as students studying food-related disciplines at the University. The two-day training, held on 24–25 April 2025 in collaboration with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and DESAM, was offered free of charge to support sectoral development and strengthen food safety awareness.
The program was delivered by Vet. Dr. Tolga Yaroğlu, Bursa Provincial Representative of the Food Laboratories and Food Inspectors Association (GLADER) and Chair of the GLADER Food Sciences Institute. Throughout the sessions, he highlighted that ISO 22000:2018 has become a globally accepted reference standard for food safety management systems.
