Near East University hosted the “Interdisciplinary Community Service Workshop,” bringing together academics, students, and civil society representatives to explore the role of sustainability and social responsibility in creating positive social impact. Organized by the Atatürk Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Dentistry, the event featured a panel moderated by Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay. Speakers included Bahire Çoşkuner Doğru, Founder and Chairperson of the Cyprus Foundation for the Hearing and Speech Impaired (KİKEV), and Rabia Özcömert, President of the Olive Tree Education and Solidarity Association (ZAYDER). The workshop highlighted successful community projects, youth engagement, inclusion, and collaboration, demonstrating how universities and civil society can work together to strengthen social development and solidarity.
