Near East University hosted a seminar titled “Sustainable Livestock Farming Adapted to the TRNC Climate: Alternative Feed Resources,” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valiollah Palangi from the Department of Animal Science. The event brought together academics and students to discuss climate-resilient livestock practices and sustainable feed alternatives suitable for Northern Cyprus. Participants examined the impacts of drought and irregular rainfall on animal production and highlighted the importance of locally available feed resources. Discussions focused on drought-tolerant plants, citrus by-products, moringa, and native pasture species as cost-effective and environmentally friendly feed options. The seminar also encouraged future university–industry research collaborations to support sustainable livestock development.
