As part of International Women’s Day on March 8, Near East University organized a seminar titled “From Compassion to Power: The Digital Future for Women with Disabilities” to promote the digital empowerment and inclusion of women with disabilities, particularly mothers of children with disabilities. Held at Yeni Dünya +1 Cafe, the event brought together experts and institutions to address the opportunities and challenges faced by women with disabilities in the digital environment. Key topics included digital literacy, technology-supported education, digital participation, and empowerment through technology. The event was organized in collaboration with the Near East University Digital Education and Information Unit (DEBİM), Distance Education and Information Technologies Coordination Office (UZEBİM), Social Research and Development Center (TAGEM), and Nicosia Turkish Municipality Yeni Dünya Accessible Activity Center. The initiative highlighted the importance of accessible digital education and equal participation in the digital society.
