Near East University hosted the Cyprus–Türkiye Carob Workshop in collaboration with the Cyprus Carob Growers Association and the Alanya Carob Producers Association. Bringing together academics, public institutions, producers, and sector representatives, the workshop focused on the production potential of carob, value-added products, industrial applications, and sustainable production models. Representatives from Türkiye and the TRNC discussed scientific approaches and opportunities for future cooperation. The event also provided a platform for strengthening agricultural collaboration between Türkiye and the TRNC and developing joint research projects. Participants emphasized the importance of combining scientific knowledge, producer experience, and institutional cooperation to increase the value and sustainability of carob production.
