In the first event of this series, Dr. Eren Can Özfırat, a PhD holder in Surgery, shared his expertise on the topic of “Being a Veterinarian in England.” The presentation delved into the roles, responsibilities, and unique characteristics of the veterinary profession in England, offering students a comprehensive understanding of the field.
Following this, the second event featured Dr. Derya Tan Ürse, the Regional Quality and Food Safety Leader at Pladis Global, a major player in the global snack industry. Dr. Ürse’s presentation, titled “The Role of Veterinarians in World-Class Food Safety and Quality,” shed light on the crucial role veterinarians play in ensuring food safety and quality on a global scale. Pladis Global, known for its standing as one of the world’s top 10 chocolate and confectionery companies, provided students with valuable insights into industry practices.
These “Career Days” events are designed to broaden students’ perspectives on their future professions. The presentations are moderated by distinguished faculty members, such as Prof. Dr. Ebru Yalçın and others, creating a platform for professionals to engage with the veterinarians of tomorrow.
